Spring Okinawa turmeric

Spring turmeric

Spring turmeric is officially called wild turmeric. Its root segment is a yellow pigment. It is used to assist health, and is not suitable by itself as an edible food due to its strong, bitter flavor. Spring Turmeric's special feature is its abundance of minerals and essential oil ingredients, found only in small amounts in autumn turmeric. Essential oil ingredients protect the health of the stomach with strong antibacterial properties, and also have strong antacid properties.

Japanese name: Kyo-o

[Note for use]

Golden turmeric has little curcumin compared to autumn turmeric, but contains an abundance of more than 100 varieties of essential oil ingredients including termelon, cineole, azulene and camphor. It also contains many minerals including calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus. These essential oil ingredients are cancer inhibitors, and protect against arteriosclerosis and decompose cholesterol. These ingredients are not found in autumn turmeric.
